For healthy active adults.  Classes start with a short self reflection.  The main part of class is asana (yoga poses) linked to breath and attention.  Class ends with relaxation/guided meditation.  Adaptations of poses are given to meet students needs.  Course class. Registration required. No drop in students.

This class is aimed at people who have some limits to movement due to age, injury, illness or inactivity.  There’s a lot of adaptation to meet the individual student’s needs. The class starts with students seated in chairs.  We then do standing poses and poses on the floor.  Alternative movements are given for students who prefer not to stand, be on hands and knees, or on the floor in  supine or prone positions.  The emphasis is increasing pain free range of movement, core strength and stability, breath awareness, directing attention and relaxation. Course class. Registration required. No drop in students.

Prenatal yoga for pregnant people in second and third trimester. Emphasis is on safe and comfortable yoga practices for strength, stability and relaxation. Learn how to relieve and prevent some of the common discomforts. Nourish your baby and yourself with meditation, relaxation and breathing practices. A word about Covid

Island Soul Studios has state of the art air purifiers. Students bring their own mats. Chairs are provided and sanitized between classes. Students are welcome to mask. Let me know if you are vulnerable and prefer more distance and would like me to mask. I won’t be checking vaccination status. Feel free to contact me with any questions or concerns.
