Yoga for You.

Yoga benefits people in all stages of life, whatever their condition.  My job is to make those benefits available to you.

I’ve taught normal active adults, fat old guys, athletes, preschoolers,  nursing home residents, and everything in between.  I can teach you to become stronger and more flexible in body and mind.

I’ve been teaching since 1984. I started with certification from Integral Yoga Institute. I was Certified as a Yoga Therapist with Integrative Yoga Therapy in 1995. I continued my study of Yoga Therapy with the American Viniyoga Institute and was certified through them in 2005. I’m currently an assistant in the Yoga Well Therapist Training Program.

I bring the gifts of my long time personal practice and my continued studies with knowledgeable teachers to you.

 FAQs

  • Viniyoga adapts the traditional practices of yoga to the individual. These practices include asana (movement and postures), pranayama (breathing techniques), meditation, chanting, reflection and study.

  • Dress in comfortable clothes that allow a full range of movement. Layers are good because some parts of class are active and some are restful. You’ll be more comfortable if you allow a couple hours after you eat. For Zoom classes, make sure you have a space large enough to move in all directions. For in studio classes, you will need to bring a mat, blanket or towel, and any other props you like to use. The studio does provide chairs.

  • Yoga Therapy is the application of the tools and techniques of yoga to help bring you into balance and promote good health on every level. How those tools and techniques are applied is based on your individual needs and concerns.
